‘The relentlessness of parenting’
I have two identities, one as a mother and one as an artist. They go hand in hand but always in an unstable balance. It’s hard to find a good tandem with work and family. Do I choose to invest in my creative career that strengthens my identity? Or do I choose to invest my time in my children, my most precious creation? On the other hand, my children mirror my identity and enrich me as an artist. It’s a recognizable struggle in modern parenting, and certainly as a mother.
