Populate

I played with a dual theme, that being of ‘X’ as multiply and ‘X’ as fertility as in female chromosomes. Rabbits are often used as a sign of fertility and reproduction. When in reference to larger populations (of people or animals) it’s commonly mocked that they were ‘doing it like rabbits’. The rabbits were based loosely off New Zealand white rabbits which are bred the most often for commercial and meat production.
