Finalmente insieme | Finally together

Tra tutte le sfumature di “Tandem!” ho interpretato il suo significato latino ovvero “Finalmente/Dopo una lunga attesa”.
Ho immaginato un momento affettuoso e intimo che potesse raccontare la magia che accompagna la fremente attesa di riabbracciare dopo tanto tempo chi abbiamo nel cuore.
Ho immaginato la vita di una famiglia di pinguini antartici: l’amorevole cura dell’uovo da parte del maschio fino alla nascita del cucciolo e la sua paziente attesa; la pericolosa caccia del pesce della femmina, un lungo viaggio dal quale potrebbe anche non tornare.
La fine dell’estate riporta le femmine a tornare alla colonia; non importa quanto possa essere numerosa: loro si riconoscono e sono, finalmente, di nuovo insieme!

I interpreted the Latin meaning of “Tandem” as “Finally/After a long wait.”
I imagined a tender and intimate moment that could tell the magic of the trembling wait to embrace the one we have in our hearts again after a long time.
I imagined the life of a family of Antarctic penguins: the loving care of the egg by the male until the birth of the cub and his patient wait; the female’s dangerous hunt for fish, a long journey from which she may not even return.
At the end of summer the females return to the colony; no matter how numerous it may be: they recognize each other and are, finally, together again!
