Bodily X

X can be regarded as a graphic element. “Bodily X” mainly focuses on depicting different symbolic meaning of X when it exists on our face or body. It contains 10 naked bears in the illustration, which implies the numeral symbol of X in the Roman Empire. When X located in different position of the bear’s bodies, it may comes up with a symbolic meaning such as the couple bears in the middle, I decide to use the graphic X to represent their genitals instead of depicting their private parts visually and realistically. Besides, I use X to replace the bear’s mouth in depiction, which creates a scenario about kidnapping. Other visualizing interpretation of X also can be found on my work.
