I chose a scene from ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ as my inspiration. The character Dwayne wants to become a test pilot and vows to remain silent until he is accepted into the Air Force Academy. However, when his sister Olive shows him a color-blindness test, it is discovered that he cannot see colors. His uncle explains this means he cannot become a pilot. His continued silence as this realisation sinks in is deafening, before his full devastation breaks forth.
