Gianni De Conno

Gianni De Conno is one of the most important illustrators on the Italian scene. He was President of the Association of Illustrators from 2005 to 2007, he followed a training path full of different experiences (he graduated from the Milan Conservatory) even if in the wake of creativity applied to drawing. After high school he attended courses in scenography and animation held at the Film School from where he began his career as a set designer and storyboarder. An illustrator of great impact, both in the use of traditional techniques (acrylic, oil) and a very personal pictorial use of digital, in 2008 De Conno contributed to founding the Bandalarga group in Milan and from 2009 to 2012 he took care of the image and graphics of the MiMaster di Illustrazione Editoriale project, conceived in 2009 with the production of the Scuola del Fumetto in Milan and continued from 2010 with the OPPI Association specialized in training and accredited by the MIUR and the Lombardy Region. In 2010 the Lucca Comics & Games festival dedicated an anthological exhibition of his career to him.
