Cristina Taverna

Cristina Taverna founded the Nuages gallery in Milan in 1981. The opening was inaugurated with an exhibition by Folon. After a few years dedicated to exhibiting “communication artists” such as Jean Michel Folon, Andrea Pazienza, Hugo Pratt, Emanuele Luzzati, all of whom were always present at the inaugurations, the gallery began its publishing activity by publishing a series of great literary classics interpreted by the images of important authors. Nuages also publishes a series of catalogues dedicated to the graphic works of important authors such as Folon, Milton Glaser, Lorenzo Mattotti, Paul Davis, Andrea Rauch and Art Spiegelman. In April 2001, on the occasion of its twentieth anniversary of activity, the gallery changed its location, moving to via del Lauro 10, still in Milan.
