In order to produce the scene I brought together X as the unknown, X representing the end or death and also its relationship with maths and science. These concepts together suggested to me an image depicting a mysterious, otherworldly and potentially catastrophic happening. My X is a void, it could be man-made or of the earth. It could mean cataclysm or rebirth.
