X as in mystery. Like a whodone it novel. Through an X pattern that plays the role of maybe a courtain, a hole in the wall,etc, that complicates a clear view of what is really happening in the scene. We are nosy viewers trying to discover what happened.
Double use of X. It recalls misrtery to me, but at the same time I have played with symbol X as something purely esthetic to create an X pattern that supports the mysterious story being told.
