Society often claims that only children experience nightmares and dreams, but for me, this notion has always felt untrue. Ever since I was a child, I have encountered visions during sleep that transport me to mystical realms beyond the boundaries of reality. These experiences defy explanation and elude our grasp; they are intangible, transcending even the limits of language and imagination.

In our modern world, I believe that only a select few possess the divine gift of vision. While some may be endowed with exceptional talents in art or intellect, the gift of vision is a rare and precious phenomenon. This unique ability is reflected in my artwork, which emerges from a deep fascination with the mythology of Morpheus, the Greek God of Dreams. Known in contemporary culture as the Sandman, Morpheus embodies the essence of dreams, guiding us through the intricate tapestry of our subconscious.

The Roman poet Ovid helped define Morpheus’ role in his work Metamorphoses, describing him as the one who could take on any form to make dreams feel real and believable. While the ancient Greeks didn’t focus extensively on Morpheus, his legacy has continued, symbolizing the mysterious realm between sleep and waking, where dreams connect mortals to gods, mysteries, and hidden truths.
