Ferruccio Giromini

Ferruccio Giromini (Genoa 1954) is a journalist, critic and historian of the image. He has also worked as a photographer, illustrator, scriptwriter and television director. He has exhibited his works in various exhibitions and in 1980 for the Venice Biennale. As an editorial consultant, he directs series of books, CD-ROMs, videos and periodicals for various publishers. He holds courses and workshops for public and private schools, including the European Institute of Design in Milan. So far he has curated and presented more than four hundred exhibitions and events on illustration, comics, photography, animated cinema and contemporary visual arts, in Italy and around the world. Since 1982, he has been an artistic consultant for various national events and festivals. For several years he shared the direction of the international animated film exhibition Cartoombria in Perugia. Since 2007 he has been the artistic director of the “Sergio Fedriani” Award in Genoa and in the 2008/09 season he directed the Fantastiche Terre Festival in Portofino, Liguria. Since 2008 he has been co-director of the Skiaffino Award in Camogli.
