Moments of grace
Opera di Shirley Waisman
Technique:
Digital
Description
The thing I remember most from the last days with my mom in the hospital, before she passed away, was her combing my hair. The moments of kindness I received from her at the end of her life. The white space in the illustration symbolizes the missing, the absent of her. Her hands do not exist in reality. The dry leaves that float on the hair that turns into a river, symbolize death.
I wanted to dedicate this illustration in her memory.
