Jumping Into The Deep End

Being thrown into something new, like jumping into the deep end of a swimming pool for the first time, can be a harrowing experience. “Would you sink or swim?” is what your mind may think, tilted while engulfed in an empty void of uncertainty as vast and dark as space. Although faced with such a situation, one may still have a shot at finding enjoyment or a way to conquer it by finding some sort of familiarity in the unknown. For instance, I would like to think that if I were faced with being thrust into outer space, I would feel more comfortable imaging it like deep sea diving.
