Voilà ma mère

A light pointed at a distressed wall. In front of it is an improvised composition of small objects placed their by a young child. A bottle and a flower that he took from a vase he couldn’t reach. The boy stands a little further back forming an embrace with his small hands. At the other end of the light and on the wall are two shadows. A woman’s, and a child’s embracing her. Voila, ma mere! (this is my mother).
This project raises the issue of loss and how a young child deals with it.
