Voila

My illustration depicts a magician ladling carrot soup from his hat to two rabbits, combining two interpretations of the word ‘voila’; one being a magician’s trick and the other being the presentation of a meal.

I depicted a magician and two rabbits as a nod towards illusions and magic tricks, with my ‘voila’ moment being the magical ladling of the carrot soup from the magician’s hat for the two rabbits – the magician’s assistants – as I felt that a playful and whimsical image best portrayed the meaning of the word ‘voila’.
