Despite a ban on the international trade in ivory, but in each year at least 20,000 elephants are illegally killed for their tusks. The elephant ivory trade not only threatens the very survival of this iconic species and causes broader ecological consequences. I hope to use this painting to express the inhumane behavior of hunting elephants. Elephants are good friends of mankind. They allow plants to enter the food chain in nature to provide a maintenance system for harvest able species. We must stop hunting elephants for tusks.
