The Girl in the Red Jacket

The scene I chose to reinterpret is from the black and white film Shindler’s List. The girl in the red jacket is the only instance of color in the movie. Her innocence and red overcoat represent the horrors and bloodshed of the Holocaust. This illustration depicts an interpretation of the scene where she is first seen wandering in the street among german soldiers. The next time she is seen in the film, her body is being wheeled off on a cart full of the deceased.
