I see the same world with my soul.

People often say, “Look!” However, for blind people, it is usually considered offensive to say “look” to them. However, I have many blind friends, and they say to me, “Hey, don’t mind it, don’t feel offended. We can ‘see’ too.” I asked them, “How do you see the world?” They said, “Haven’t you read the Buddhist scriptures? Humans don’t just have five senses. If you can close your eyes and feel the world with your soul, you will have a completely different experience.” I asked, “What’s different?” They said, “When you see the world with your eyes, the size and shape of people, the luxury or poverty of their clothing, the vividness or decay of colors—all these will affect your mood. For instance, seeing green leaves makes you happy, while seeing wilted leaves on the ground makes you sad. But if you feel the cool autumn wind on your face and hear the sound of leaves falling to the ground, it’s the blessing of one generation to the next. It’s the continuation of life. Isn’t that beautiful?” This insight inspired me to create this piece.
