Hurricane Harvey made landfall August 25 where it flooded parts of Texas. Some areas have seen over 40 inches of rainfall. Through this chaos had emerged within the city of Houston, people were left homeless and lost many valuable possessions and even loved ones. One thing that held the city together was its resilience. The response from Houstonians to help their neighbors was as momentous as the disaster itself. People would sail their boats through the city to rescue those in need. My piece represents the collective efforts of those who helped the community in Houston, during a time of complete disorder and confusion.
