Tecnica: woodcut
My woodcut shows a woman sliding down a big slide and landing in the middle of a lake, surrounded by exotic plants and trees. A waterfowl is approaching – to say „ciao“? At the same time one can discover a male figure at the other end of the slide, maybe desperately looking for his companion or trying to have a go too? The loopy slide forms the word CIAO in a playful way, emphasizing the ambiguous character of the word – the reading direction going one way and the movement of sliding down going the other direction.
