Armonia dell’Alaska

The synergy of gouache complimented by colouring pencil brings life to a scene of sled dogs that are, or have been, working perfectly in ‘Tandem’. The luminous backdrop of the Alaskan wilderness is in contrast to the dark shadowed colours seen in the foreground composition. The piece is completed using bold strokes of gouache that capture the few moments the canine-athletes and their master (seen in the near background) have to rest. Some are surveying their surroundings, others are at play and a lone-wolf is seen at ease trying to regain its much needed energy back.
