The Flop They Never See

My artwork is a graduate and first place winner whose bright smile reflects accomplishment and pride. The applauding hands around them symbolize how others celebrate their success and recognize only the achievement in front of them. However, the surrounding images of a failing grade, a falling figure, and symbols of sadness reveal the hidden struggles that came before this moment. While the world sees the medal, the graduation cap, and the applause, only the individual understands the pain, doubt, and failures they had to overcome. The piece shows that failure does not hold you back from succeeding. Instead, it becomes part of the journey that builds the strength needed to rise, graduate, and stand as a champion.
