STOP

My interpretation of the theme is based on the very important issue of extinction. The painting consists of a large clock depicting the time(that is almighty) moving forward, closer and closer to the extinction of endangered animals. The turtle on the clock needle is a placeholder for all endangered species of animals. If time progresses and the clock needle moves even a bit more forward then that will lead to the turtle slipping due to the increased slope of the needle and falling off the clock, which is analogous to the extinction of that species. The paintings depicts humans trying their best to save the turtle by STOPPING the needle from moving forward and thereby trying to STOP the extinction of endangered animals.
