I commonly use a subtitle for this illustration, which is: “It seems so hard to ask them about their traumatic past”. It is based on the trauma my parents and many other families had experienced during the dark Khmer Rouge period in Cambodia. I believe that trauma can leave trails in family homes, that affects next generations. These trails can create chaos in minds and homes.
