As of the tenth edition, in addition to the usual cash prize, the Tapirulan Association has decided to award the winner of the Critics’ Prize with a personal exhibition. The aim of this initiative is twofold: on the one hand to give the illustrator a further opportunity to promote himself (also thanks to the consequent publication of the catalogue of his works); on the other hand to create a stronger bond between the illustrator and the association, a bond of friendship and collaboration that could hardly be created by meeting only during the award ceremony. The exhibition is held the year after the competition is won, in the Tapirulan gallery (corso XX Settembre 22, Cremona) at the same time as the International Exhibition of Contemporary Illustrators.<\/p>\n

What is being exhibited?<\/h2>\n

A selection of the work produced so far by the illustrator who won the competition is exhibited. A collection of around 40 or 50 illustrations, giving a complete overview of the author’s portfolio. The catalogue, in 21×29 cm format, 64 pages, also follows the same principle of proposing the best illustrations produced up to that moment.<\/p>\n

Who is in charge of setting up the exhibition?<\/h2>\n

The Tapirulan Association takes care of the installation, framing all the works and printing any illustrations produced digitally. Tapirulan also takes care of the graphic design of the catalogue and prints it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
