Andrea Pagliardi

After attending the Master in Animation Cinema at the IED in Turin Andrea Pagliardi collaborated with the company Enarmonia on several TV productions (“Rahan” – Xilam, France 2006; “Rat-Man” – Stranemani, Italy 2006).
In 2008, he started his activity at ASIFA Italia, the Italian section of ASIFA International, an international association for the diffusion and protection of animated cinema, widespread in 60 countries and linked to UNESCO. He is currently treasurer of the association and member of the executive board.
He organises, coordinates and implements educational projects related to animation and illustration: workshops for schools, courses, meetings and cycles of screenings in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum and AIACE Turin. Since 2016 he has been curator of the animation programme for Sottodiciotto Film Festival and since 2022 creator and curator of the international competition “That’s Animato!” for animated short films.
In 2018 he created the live format YOYO CORNER for RAI COM and since 2017 he has been the technical director of APERITOON, Emiliano Fasano’s animated happening.
He teaches theory and history of animated cinema at the IED in Milan and is in charge of the comics section of “L’Indice dei libri del mese”, a historical monthly book review magazine for which he takes care of the graphic choices (each month the images are by a different illustrator) and of which he is also the editorial director.

For several years he has been working on graphic communication for the Accademia dei Folli theatre company and occasionally does covers for various publishing houses (Bollati Boringhieri, Meridiano Zero, Pentàgora).
