This image is an interpretation of someone who suffers from addiction. In this case, the figure is basking in her poison of choice: alcohol. My goal was to depict the devastating irony of alcohol addiction. While she seemingly relishes in a metaphorical sea of alcohol, she is simultaneously drowning in it. The addict’s cry for help is silenced by the very substance she depends on.
