The dinosaurs celebrate what they consider an extraordinary moment. In a sleek, modern building with designer interior and the mood of modern success, they cheer at the blazing spectacle crossing the sky. The approaching asteroid looks to them like a cosmic firework, something to admire rather than fear.

Through personification, the dinosaurs take on human traits and gestures. Convinced they are witnessing something spectacular, they fail to realise they are actually witnessing their own demise.

The modern setting reflects our current reality. Surrounded by comfort, we too are enthralled by the flashes on our screens: wars, disasters and terrible news from around the world. The question arises: do we recognise our own demise or do we applaud it as part of the spectacle?
