Tecnica / Technique:
In my work I draw inspiration mostly in nature – relationships between flora and fauna and their connections to human society. For this submission I focused on symbiotic relationships between animals of different species. This artwork captures a Nile Crocodile and an Egyptian Plover – one of the purest symbiotic couples there probably is. While any meat leftovers between crocodiles teeth provide the bird with needed nutriment, the big reptile benefits from a tiny beak, by having his interdental spaces cleansed. Nature is full of unexpected tandems and this is one of them.
