Prompted to create an illustration to accompany the New York Times article “Michael Pollan Explores the Mind-Altering Plants in His Garden,” I chose to depict a crumbling garden filled with exotic plants and a melting concrete fountain. With this composition, I focused on creating a visual impact through color.
